Intro: There is nothing more disappointing than applying a beautiful fragrance in the morning only to find it has vanished by lunchtime. While the quality of ingredients mattersâand at IRFOZ, we use only the finest oilsâthe way you apply and store your perfume plays a massive role in its performance.
The Science of Application:
- Preparation is Key: Fragrance lasts longest on hydrated skin. Applying a scent-free moisturizer or petroleum jelly to your pulse points before spraying creates a “base” for the oil to cling to.
- The Heat Zones: Spray your IRFOZ perfume on pulse points where blood vessels are closest to the skin: the wrists, the neck, behind the ears, and even the inside of your elbows. The natural heat from these areas helps project the scent outward.
- The “Cloud” Myth: Never spray perfume into the air and walk through it. Most of the product ends up on the floor. Instead, apply it directly to your skin from about 6 inches away.
- Avoid the Friction: One of the biggest mistakes is rubbing your wrists together. This creates friction that breaks down the delicate molecules of the fragrance, causing the top notes to evaporate prematurely.
Preservation Tips: Light, heat, and humidity are the enemies of fine perfume. To keep your IRFOZ bottles fresh, store them in a cool, dark placeânot in your bathroom. Keeping them in their original box is often the best way to maintain their chemical integrity.
